By accessing or using VFSPhotoReady at www.vfsphotoready.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.
These terms apply to all users of VFSPhotoReady, including visitors, customers, and anyone who accesses or uses the service in any way.
The Service
VFSPhotoReady provides an AI-powered online tool to help users prepare passport and identity card photos that aim to meet government specifications. Our service includes:
- AI face detection and automatic cropping
- ICAO 2025 compliance validation
- Digital photo output (630×810 px for Indian Passport, 600×600 px for OCI Card)
- 4×6 inch print sheet for physical submissions
- Optional AI background removal
VFSPhotoReady is operated by Sri Financial Services / Kala Sudheer. The service is available 24/7 subject to scheduled maintenance and technical availability.
Payments & Refunds
Pricing: The standard price is $4.99 per photo session. AI background removal is an optional add-on for $1.00. Prices may change — the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
Payment processing: All payments are processed by PayPal. By making a payment, you agree to PayPal's Terms of Service. We do not store payment card information.
Refund policy: Payments are non-refundable once your photo has been processed and made available for download. This is because the digital product is delivered immediately upon payment.
Satisfaction guarantee: If you experience a technical error that prevents you from downloading your photo, or if our system fails to deliver what was promised, please contact us at support@vfsphotoready.com and we will reprocess your photo at no charge or issue a refund at our discretion.
Discount codes: Promotional codes may be offered at our discretion. Codes cannot be combined, transferred, or applied retroactively.
Photo Requirements & Compliance
Important disclaimer: VFSPhotoReady prepares photos based on published government specifications, but we cannot guarantee that your photo will be accepted by any government authority, embassy, consulate, or VFS Global. Final acceptance decisions are made solely by those authorities.
By using our service, you acknowledge:
- Government photo requirements can change without notice — always verify current requirements at official sources
- Our ICAO 2025 compliance checks are automated and may not catch all issues
- The quality of the output depends significantly on the quality of the photo you upload
- You are responsible for ensuring your uploaded photo meets the applicable requirements
- We are not affiliated with VFS Global, Passport Seva, the Government of India, or any other government body
For Indian passport applications, always verify current requirements at mportal.passportindia.gov.in. For OCI applications, verify at ociservices.gov.in.
Disclaimer of Warranties
VFSPhotoReady is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Guarantee that photos will be accepted by any government authority
- Uninterrupted or error-free service availability
- Accuracy of automated compliance checks
We make reasonable efforts to maintain service availability and accuracy, but cannot guarantee them.
Intellectual Property
Your photos: You retain full ownership of the photos you upload and the processed photos you download. By uploading a photo, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process that photo solely to provide the service.
Our service: All content, design, code, and branding of VFSPhotoReady — including the name, logo, and website design — are the property of Sri Financial Services / Kala Sudheer and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our service without express written permission.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use VFSPhotoReady to:
- Upload photos of other people without their consent
- Create fraudulent or altered identity photos intended to deceive government authorities
- Attempt to bypass reCAPTCHA or other security measures
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the service
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or replicate our service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of access and may be reported to relevant authorities.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VFSPhotoReady and its operators shall not be liable for:
- Rejection of your passport or visa application due to photo non-compliance
- Costs associated with reapplying or obtaining new photos elsewhere
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data or service interruption
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of VFSPhotoReady shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific transaction giving rise to the claim.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of VFSPhotoReady shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be subject to binding arbitration or the jurisdiction of a competent court in the United States.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
